Brice started his construction career at the ripe old age of 12, though by his account it was more hauling and cleaning for his dad than actual construction. From that time on, Brice learned by helping his dad with various construction projects, from building cabinets and additions for friends and family to maintenance and improvements at Riverside Bible Camp. Brice learned many things from his dad- including the value of hard work and a quality finished product.
From 1983 to 1997 Brice worked in the local custom home building industry as an onsite construction foreman. During that time Brice married the love of his life, Brenda- a girl he met back when he was just 10 years old. They married in 1987, and have 3 children, and she's still the love of his life.
In 1997, Brice and Bob Evensen joined together to purchase Bob Borneman Homes in Plover and renamed the firm Heartland Custom Homes. Combining their expertise and skills, Brice and Bob built Heartland Custom Homes into the premier Custom Home builder in Central Wisconsin. Using the latest building technology and panelized construction, Brice and Bob built over 400 quality custom homes, first in Stevens Point and Plover, but soon after expanding to Wisconsin Rapids, Waupaca, Marshfield, Wausau, and farther. Brice continues to use his 40 plus years of construction experience in leading Heartland Custom Homes.
Brice is involved as an elder of his church, and volunteers time on the executive board of Riverside Bible Camp. Brice is an active member of Golden Sands Home Builders Association, where he has been a past director and is also the current president elect. Brice enjoys spending time with his family, watching his kids play sports, following the Packers, and travel.
